Each
ultraliteFRED kit includes a blinking red L.E.D., battery holder and 1
or 2 batteries depending on model. While every unit is tested before it
is approved for sale, things can happen during shipping. Please before
installing, test to insure that the L.E.D. is working by holding the wires
to the battery holder contacts, making sure the red tipped wire goes to
the red contact and the black goes to the non-marked contact side. We
have marked the battery holder and one of the wires red. The L.E.D. should
now blink. Determine the location you want to mount the L.E.D. and where
you will route the wires to the battery holder. Drill any necessary holes
and route the wires before mounting the L.E.D. The wires are very fragile
and sharp bends should be avoided. Do not mount the L.E.D. on the truck
as this movement may break the wires over time. Once the wires are routed,
mount the L.E.D. with a drop or two of CA glue. Next solder the wires
to the battery holder, red to red, black to black. Insert battery and
mount the battery holder with doubleback tape. If the ultraliteFRED does
not work for any reason, please return it for a replacement. *Please do
not attempt to remove the wires from the L.E.D. as it is extremely heat
sensitive and doing so will void your warranty.
